Founded in 1970 by Paul and Ginny Starks, the company quickly became one of the top Ditch Witch dealers in the world. Today, Ditch Witch Sales of North Carolina has locations in Garner, Kernersville, and Jacksonville offering new and used equipment, service, parts, and support. 

A LEGACY OF PASSION AND SERVICE

Paul Starks was a former grade school principal with a passion for working with people and a tremendous work ethic. He was instrumental in growing Ditch Witch Sales of North Carolina, not only because of the revolutionary equipment the company offered, but also because of his dedication to his customers and the service he provided. This legacy of passion and service is what has set Ditch Witch of North Carolina apart from other companies in the industry.

CONTINUING THE LEGACY

After Paul Starks retired, Cliff Starks and Travis Wilkey took over as owners in 1990. In 2016, Travis became the sole owner of the company. Under his leadership, Ditch Witch Sales of North Carolina has continued to nurture the culture that is truly their legacy: a passion for their customers and the service to support their equipment. In 2023 Travis retired after 42 years in the industry and 33 years leading the dealership. Wilkey has lead Ditch Witch Sales of North Carolina to setting a higher standard in the construction industry in North Carolina.  Ditch Witch of North Carolina was sold to the Toro Corporation and is now branded Ditch Witch Sales of North Carolina.  The dealership has a strong reputation for customer service and quality equipment, and its commitment to these values is likely to remain a cornerstone of its operations. The dedication and hard work of Wilkey and his team have helped to create a culture and a reputation for the dealership that is truly remarkable. The team’s commitment to the values that Wilkey championed is a testament to his leadership and will ensure that Ditch Witch Sales of North Carolina continues to be a leader in the industry for years to come.
